Our Story
One of Kelowna's Finest Historic Gems
Ideally situated in downtown Kelowna, Lindon House provides an exquisite and unforgettable venue for special events. The heritage mansion, built in 1905, was one of the first Edwardian houses in the city and still lies nestled among more than half an acre of sprawling gardens — a hidden treasure in the heart of the city.
Over the years, the 4,000-square-foot house has expanded with the addition of a banquet room and cottage. Award-winning designer Suzanne Petti oversaw Lindon House's renovation to its former glory in 2010, and in 2012 the backyard was landscaped into a breathtaking paradise.
Your Hosts
Linda and Don have been in the wedding business since 2010, but their romantic story began much earlier when they met in a bar in 1979 and got married 11 weeks later. Linda came from Manchester, England, and Don was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada.
In 2010 they purchased 1449 Ethel Street with no intention of hosting weddings or events. However, following three months of interior renovations, the home's original 1900s glory emerged. The name "Lindon" was suggested — combining both Linda's and Don's names. Thus, Lindon House was born.
The name "Lindon" represents more than just a clever combination — it symbolizes the love and partnership that has been at the heart of this venue from the very beginning.
